Each project is unique. No single tool, practice, process, or strategy is equally successful across all projects. The approach taken on each project is different. It often depends on context, goals, and available resources. Progress to date and the team’s readiness to use the project results also play a significant role.
Despite this variability, the project management process groups are useful. They frame how a project should proceed through initiating, planning, executing, controlling & monitoring, and closeout.
